Jennifer Karin is an activist, professional writer, wife and mother of three boys—though not in that order. With over 20 years in public relations and advertising, Jennifer recently turned toward more personal creative endeavors as a columnist and author.

Jennifer's books include Letters to a Girl, The Bear Who Loves Halloween, and The Dreamstarter Book. Dreamstarters Volume II will be released in 2009.

Jennifer also pens the award-winning “Zen Mother” column and was named National Humor Writer of the Month by the prestigious Erma Bombeck Writers’ Workshop. In 2006 she won the national "That First Line" contest for the best opening line to a literary work.

To encourage young writers, Jennifer created the Dreamstarter Community for Kids, based on her acclaimed storytelling activity book. She also conducts Dreamstarter storytelling workshops for schools and educational or parenting organizations.

Jennifer’s writing has appeared in the Sunday Boston Globe, The Newburyport Daily News, The Newburyport Current, North Shore Sunday and numerous online publications. A graduate of Middlebury College, she is a publishing member of the Society of Children's Book Writers & Illustrators and the National Society of Newspaper Columnists.
