Jennifer Karin is an activist, professional writer, wife and mother of three boys—though not in that order. With over 20 years in public relations and advertising, Jennifer recently turned toward more personal creative endeavors as a columnist, author, and imagination advocate.

Jennifer's books include Letters to a Girl, The Bear Who Loves Halloween, and The Dreamstarter Book. The Dreamstarter Book won the 2009 Book of the Year Award from Creative Child magazine for the way it brings families together.

Jennifer also pens the award-winning “Zen Mother” column and was named National Humor Writer of the Month by the prestigious Erma Bombeck Writers’ Workshop. In 2006 she won the national "That First Line" contest for the best opening line to a literary work.

To encourage young writers, Jennifer created the Dreamstarter Community for Kids, based on her popular storytelling activity book.
